Rheumatology Information and education evening: When to suspect an inflammatory disease, the role of physiotherapy, and when to refer?

Early identification of rheumatological disease can be a challenge owing to the wide range of inflammatory disorders, each with unique manifestations that can mimic other conditions or diseases. Physiotherapists can play an essential role in early identification, with commonly seen musculoskeletal presentations such as joint, muscle, and tendon pain, a potential masquerade for an underlying inflammatory condition.

We invite you to join us for our upcoming evening lecture, co-hosted by the NSW APA Musculoskeletal group and the NSW APA Advanced Practice group. Dr Carol McCrum, an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist in Rheumatology, will share her approach to identifying individuals presenting with musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction, for which there is a clinical suspicion of an underlying inflammatory component. Following this, Carol will be joined by Physiotherapist Errol Lim in a panel discussion, where they will share their clinical experience and provide valuable insights to empower Physiotherapists with the knowledge and tools to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those living with an autoimmune condition.

This is a face to face event only and will not be recorded.
