Stephanie Crilly

Stephanie Crilly is a Senior Concussion Physiotherapist working at both Epworth Healthcare and Alfred Health with persistent post-concussion symptom patients as part of their respective concussion clinic programs. Stephanie's patients range from 3-4 weeks to >5years post injury. She works very closely with the medical team and wider multi-disciplinary team as a collaborative approach is the most effective means for management of this patient cohort. Stephanie is very passionate about patient and community education and awareness on concussion and reinforcing that there is help available. She has presented to a number of clinicians in recent years on the role of physiotherapy in concussion management. Stephanie has presented at the Rehabilitation Medicine Australia/New Zealand conference, Epworth Healthcare GP seminar, APA student event on Concussion, as well as to several Victorian tertiary and regional Hospitals and sporting clubs, as well as running a concussion course in the Northern Territory. She is extremely passionate about mentoring fellow clinicians in this complex, multi-factorial area of physiotherapy. She has also completed additional training and professional development on the vestibular system, cervical spine, chronic pain, temporo-mandibular joint dysfunction and has done extensive learning virtually on both acute and persistent concussion symptom management. Stephanie enjoys working in concussion management as it is complex and challenges your clinical reasoning. Additionally, Stephanie hopes to empower people to better understand their condition, manage and improve their symptoms and return to doing what they love, which makes it a very rewarding area for her to work in.
