The Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) has been awarded the 2024 Human Resources Director (HRD) 5-Star Employer of Choice award for the third year running.

The APA’s nomination comprised a comprehensive submission about its offerings and practices, followed by robust survey data that evaluated its employees’ perceptions of company benefits, compensation, culture, development and commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Organisations scoring at least or above the competitive average satisfaction rating set by HRD were named 5-Star Employers of Choice for 2024.

APA Acting Chief Executive Officer and General Manager, Corporate Services Craig Maltman was thrilled with the result and the APA’s continually high employee satisfaction ratings.

‘To be awarded a 5-Star Employer of Choice for three years running is tremendous and a testament to every single person in the APA who makes it one of the best places to work,’ Mr Maltman said.

Mr Maltman’s sentiments were echoed by APA National President Scott Willis, who commended the Board of Directors, executive leadership team and all staff on their continued success.

‘I am overjoyed with this outcome and it comes as no surprise given the amount of effort put into development, learning, reward and recognition, and company culture,’ Mr Willis said.

‘As this is the final year of my tenure as national president, I hope to raise the bar even higher and see the APA awarded for a fourth consecutive year in 2025,’ said Mr Willis.

This award celebrates organisations that excel in key human resource areas such as leadership, learning, development, wellbeing, flexibility, diversity and inclusion, work-life balance and recruitment.
